The army or safari style jacket has always been a staple for me. I must have three in my closet at varying price points! This classic style can be worn with jeans or back to a maxi dress and is a huge trend for Spring. If you're looking for a one with a little more going on I love this one. This one is great twist on the classic and under $200!

SALE ALERT!!! One of my favorite sites is having a major sale and its the perfect time for some retail therapy. Here are a couple of my top picks:

Tops: Everyone knows that I'm obsessed with SEA.  This top is a show stopper and won't break the bank! Love it with white jeans and a nude pump or sandal. This tank is a staple. I would seriously consider buying it in both colors....you won't regret it.

Dresses: If you're looking for the perfect packable maxi to take you day to night, this is it! YES to this dress in every way! So cute with sneakers or gladiator sandals and this Kayu bag. Check out this style under $100!

Baubles: Love these earrings! So easy to wear all summer long with a t-shirt or a floral maxi dress.

Shoes: I bought these a couple months ago and they have become my go-to heel. The price is incredible and they are the perfect balance of sweet and sexy (also the color?!). SPLURGE but so chic and will go with everything in your wardrobe this spring and summer!

IN FLIGHT ESSENTIALS + GLIMPSE GUIDES

SHOP THE POST

I've always been envious of people that fly frequently or for long periods of time and still look refreshed and coordinated. After doing some research for this post I found so many amazing products to help us become the seasoned jetsetters we've always wanted to be. In my experience, hydration still remains to be the most important thing, but this guide will hopefully put you right up there with the pros. When I set out to write this post I of course had to consult with my friend and fellow blogger Jordan Rhodes of Glimpse Guides. Her luxury travel guides are perfect for family travel that is both smart and stylish. She told me about this aromatherapy oil that acts as a stress reliever and helps her find her zen before a long flight (my husband will appreciate this)! These Klorane eye patches are a lifesaver on the plane or after a long car ride and they smell amazing! I'm always looking for the next best hand sanitizer. I haven't tried this one but Gwyneth Paltrow swears by it when she travels.

I absolutely love travel sets but a lot of times I feel like the samples are small and I don't end up using everything. This one may feel like a splurge but it is packed with the best products and the little travel bags alone are worth the price. I'm always concerned about neglecting my skincare regimen while on vacation and packing large containers can be such a pain especially if you're just doing carry-on. Check out Jordan's answer to maintaining you're healthy glow at 40,000 feet and when you've reached your destination!

LOVE TAUPE

SHOP THE POST

jacket - ralph lauren black label // sweater - goat library // jeans - mother // needlepoint flats - c.wonder  // sunglasses - illesteva

This is an old outfit but its one of my go-to styles both pregnant and not pregnant so I had to share! This jacket is almost a three season jacket and so versatile. The shoes were a steal from C.Wonder (so sad they closed their doors), I love the classic touch of needlepoint and they're so comfortable! Shop similar items below:

SHOES - I love Stubbs and Wootton. They're pricey but last FOREVER and so comfortable. Check out these and this pair. Have you heard of Belgian Shoes? I love this pair worn back to white or gray skinny jeans.

SWEATER - Is there anything more classic than a fisherman sweater? Think Jackie O in Hyannis. Here are some options on sale! This one, this one (very similar to above), and this one

COAT - Although this coat is about 4 years old, I've seen so many similar ones since and this silhouette never goes out of style. If you're looking for a similar color this one is a great option and on sale! I love this one, and this splurge from one of my favorite brands.

JEANS - I wish this style was still available on Mother's site but I found these similar ones on sale and these in taupe which of course I LOVE! If you want a pair that are a little edgier and distressed check out these:)

Happy almost Spring! The burst of warmer temperatures in New England has me dreaming of flowy floral dresses and woven totes. I loved working on this post - so many amazing buys right now! Whether you're going away to a warmer climate or just looking for some retail therapy this color palatte will not disappoint!

Sea and Ulla Johnson are probably two of my favorite designers right now. Their dresses and tops are so easy to wear and not quite as pricey as cult favorite Zimmerman. This top is so pretty and easy to wear. Try tucking it into these pants for a chic day look. If you're looking for an amazing deal check out this one on one of my favorite sites.

Did you guys have a chance to check out One Kings Lane this weekend? I shared my top picks in my Instagram stories on Friday. The promo is over now but the prices are still amazing. This mirror is so pretty and perfect for any room! I ordered this pillow for a bench we have in our bedroom. Hope the color is right! This neutral lamp is in my shopping cart:)

CASUAL LUNCH

SHOP THE POST

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine

Welcome to the second part of my three part series on what to wear if you want to be casual, comfortable, and still feel chic. Thank you all for your feedback on the last post! I'm so happy so many of you found it helpful and liked the outfit. Today's post also focuses on one of my favorite concepts - high/low dressing. We all need investment pieces and staples in our wardrobe, but for the everyday casual outfit, you don't want to feel like you would have a mental breakdown if a waiter spilled a side of salad dressing on you. So many of my clients have closets filled with $1,000+ blouses and dress, $30 T-shirts, and nothing in between!

Casual Lunch - So you're meeting a girlfriend for lunch at 1PM but have a list of errands to run beforehand and school pick-up right after - what do you wear? Have you ever heard of a restaurant top? Designers have coined this term to describe blouses that feature a special accent from the navel up (beading, cold shoulder, embroidery, etc.). Hence the part we can see when you're sitting at a table in a restaurant. This sweater meets all the qualifications for the perfect "day" version of a restaurant top. I love the detailing on the arm and its currently on sale for under $250! When the weather gets warmer you can easily lose the jacket and scarf and this sweater would easily stand on its own and make any outfit.

If you haven't hear of this shoe designer you're missing out! I purchased my first pair of his flats last Fall and never wanted to take them off! I love this low heeled style because it's feminine yet still comfortable enough for you to run around town in. This color is perfect for Spring and goes with just about anything!

I have this thing with jackets...its bad. But what do you do when you can buy a coat that looks like this for under $100?? This style is perfect for a mild winter day with a scarf and long into the Spring. I also love this one and this one if you're looking to refresh your outerwear next season.

I'm usually not a huge fan of light blue and I don't love the color on me personally. But...when I saw this See By Chloe dress I was instantly sold! This icy blue-gray color is beautiful and I've been seeing it more and more lately. TREND ALERT for Spring/Summer!

There were so many decor options in this hue. If you like the print above from Serena and Lily and  you want to create a "moment" in a foyer, powder room, or office, check out this one and this one too.

PLEATED NEUTRALS

I love wearing an oversized sweater with skinny jeans. Such a great look with your favorite cross-body bag, throw on some flats and you're ready to go! If you're looking for a more fashion forward look replace the denim with a maxi skirt! You can easily repeat my look at any price point and color scheme. All black would be a really chic day-to-night look for the city!

I like this one for a dressier look with an ivory cashmere sweater. This dark navy one can be worn now or back to a striped tee in the spring.

My flats have been on trend for over a year now made famous by these from Aquazzura. They are definitely a splurge! If you don't want to invest in this pair check out these other options. Mine were under $100! Sam Edelman, Ivanka Trump, Loeffler Randall As always send me an email if you need tips putting a look together!

THE GIFT GUIDE

SHOP THE POST

one // two // three // four // five // six // seven // eight // nine // ten // eleven // twelve // thirteen

Do you celebrate Valentine's Day? Its my Dad's birthday so it has always been a fun day in my house. I've never really felt the pressure to go out and buy "big" gifts for people but I know that can be a tough feeling especially on the heals of the holidays. I really enjoy the opportunity to tell my family and friends I love them with something small but special.

Lucky for us most sites have a "Valentine's Day" section if you find yourself searching to no avail. When gifting women I always like to find something I know they wouldn't purchase for themselves. Luxury soaps and candles are always a nice gift. Netaporter has a nice selection and these are always on my list! If you're looking to spend a little more, Aerin has beautiful gifts and everything feels really special. I love this box and this tray

Need help finding the perfect gift? Send me a message!
