tee - This week I did a sponsored style session with Walmart and it was hugely successful. By far my favorite item from the collaboration (and yours) was this $12 t-shirt. It is still available in a few sizes so I had to share it again here. The claw color is the perfect cream and the slight burnout texture makes it looks lux and soft. Highly recommend!

make - Recently my doctor suggested I follow a FODMAP diet for a few weeks as a way of determining what foods, spices, and beverages have been contributing to my tummy troubles. The rules aren't easy, no shallots, garlic, avocado, or chickpeas (I used to eat hummus 3+ times a week), but if it means feeling better, I’ll try anything! I was very pleased to discover that one of my favorite oatmeal recipes was FODMAP-approved! This banana bread porridge is delicious and satisfying. I make it with GF oats (no quinoa flakes) and I leave out the sugar. You can also add a nut butter to the top for a little added boost!

liberty - Doen has new arrivals for Spring and their latest collection is splurge-worthy! I love this liberty print blouse (which is on the pricier side) and this style in a similar print for less. They always make the prettiest white dresses.

blanket - I haven’t mentioned Zara Home in a while! Just perusing their new arrivals and found this perfectly neutral cotton and linen blanket. These are the best for picnic blankets and I also love using them as a tablecloth or on an outdoor table. I also love this classic linen style.

This year I made a commitment to share more budget-friendly and size inclusive style. I feel very strongly that looking and feeling great in your clothes doesn't have to mean breaking the bank and should be accessible regardless of size. This is why I love Free Assembly. So where do we start? With the classics of course:

A great pair of denim - high-waisted with just the right amount of stretch. * This pant runs small so size up

The perfect tee - when I say perfect I mean PERFECT. This one has just the right amount of slouch, a great neckline, and the quality is so great you won’t believe it was $12. PS The “claw” color is an amazing creamy dreamy shade that is SO hard to find. TRUST ME! * This tee runs TTS

A gray sweatshirt - These days comfort is key and this $20 sweatshirt is how to get there. Want to go all the way? Check out the matching sweatpants with the perfect gathered bottom to show off your sneaker. * This pant runs generous so size down

Why Free Assembly? I was so excited to first introduce you to Free Assembly a few months ago for a couple of reasons. Not only is the line good-looking and affordable, they are also committed to sustainability. Most of their cotton is organic, which avoids fertilizers and pesticides. This sweatshirt for example is made up of 60% organic cotton and 40% recycled polyester. Additionally their denim is produced in LEED certified facilities that aim to protect the environment. Free Assembly is also size inclusive and most items are available up to a size 24.

House Beautiful - London's 'thinnest' house for sale in Shepherd's Bush for £950,000. The five-storey property sure does cram a lot in! Not sure I could deal with that trap door in my bedroom!

House & Garden - How to make your own natural cleaning spray. Taken from the essential guide to cleaning your house with natural products, this recipe from 'Clean Green' by Jen Chillingsworth is a tried-and-tested winner.

goop - 7 Ways to Renew Your WFH Space. What have we learned over almost a year of working from home?

Who What Where - 4 Super-Cute Outfit Pairings That Are Perfect for Spring. I always love a cute embroidered blouse and high waisted jeans.

Spring Trend: Jumpsuits

w h a t

baby - I bought this bib for my niece for Christmas and just discovered that the brand is also available on Target and they have so much more! The floral pattern is so pretty and this catchall-style is the best for falling food (or liquids!). They also make this silicone place mat in the same pattern and bowls and plates in the softest coordinating colors. How cute is this pacifier clip? Just ordered a set of the bowls for snack time!

denim - Last week I was organizing my closet and finally did a denim edit. I almost never get rid of jeans but it was time! There were so many styles I was holding on to “just in case they ever fit me again one day” but after 2-3+ years of just sitting there, it was time to seriously evaluate. So I regained some valuable closet space and determined two styles that I love. The Agolde Riley is one of my favorites and I found it in this perfect light wash with a bit of distressing. You can wear it now with a chunky knit and boots and later with well, everything!

in my bag - This skin stick has been a lifesaver this winter. I used it on myself and on the kids in Lake Placid. It was below 10 degrees, windy, and snowing and we all had dry chapped lips and rosy cheeks. Now I put it on before we go outside. It’s plant-based, fragrance free, and handmade in California.

make - Chicken Braised With Potatoes and Pine Nuts. This delicious one pot meal is easy to make and very satisfying. You can easily leave out the nuts (we did that in our house because Frank is allergic) and its still delicious!

THE THREE BEAUTY PRODUCTS I'M LOVING RIGHT NOW

Beauty_skincare_.JPG

eyes * // brows * // under eye concealer * (purchase one-time case here) // foundation * // blush * (also use this for lips)

* means this is clean and organic

The only makeup brush you’ll ever need! I’m not an expert on applying makeup but I can tell you I have the other two smaller sizes and I never use them. THIS size I use all the time - for sunscreen in the summer, to blend concealer, or all over if I use foundation. It is so incredibly soft and really feels luxury (you won’t be disappointed). Here is the silver one in stock.

I use this once a week and it is EXCELLENT! Probably one of the best facials I’ve ever used. It leaves my skin baby smooth and looking great (hence the name!).

A must try natural mascara.

o t h e r f a v o r i t e s

body lotion and hand cream - You’ve almost definitely seen their products before in an instagram ad or shared by an influencer and I have to say, they’re worth the hype. Not only does Necessaire pride themselves on being clean, their products are packed with vitamins and hyaluronic acid and leave your skin silky smooth.

shampoo/conditioner - I randomly tried this line that I found out Whole Foods and I love it! I’ve been using it since the Summer and my hair has never looked better.

blow - This is not inexpensive but in my opinion it is worth the price tag if you’re blow drying your hair 5 days a week like I do. I actually was introduced to it by a client. She gave me hers to try and swore I would never be able to use another blow dryer after using this one and she was right!

brush - Another expensive beauty tool but again, worth it! Mason Pearson brushes last FOREVER. I still have the one my parents bought for me when I was 10 (not exaggerating). So does my sister! They’re lifers lol. There are lots of videos out there on how to take care of them too.

Vanity Fair - The Charming Billie Eilish. In the last year, Billie Eilish scored five Grammys, went multiplatinum eight times, released the new Bond theme, and had to cancel a world tour. Then, she turned 19.

GQ - This AirPods Pro Deal Keeps Getting Better. The “expensive AirPods" are nearly as cheap as they've ever been.

eyes - I’ve talked about this mascara in The Sunday section before but after using it for a few months it definitely deserves another shout out! Its official: this is the best. Long lashes, not hard to remove, and stays on all day!

home - Did you know you can shop most of the items in our home by clicking here? You can also find all of the paint colors we used, including our front door and shutters here! Our most shopped home item? This wool and sisal rug in our living and dining rooms. Our color is the light gray.

make - Looking for an easy and delicious slow cooker recipe for the holiday weekend? Try this slow cooker saucy sunday bolognese pasta from Half Baked Harvest. Love her recipes!

stripes - I love a great striped sweater. This black and ecru combo is a twist on the timeless classic and currently on sale for under $25! Just add a vintage gold pin, a pair of your favorite light wash jeans, and a classic loafer. So chic!

We skied Whiteface Mountain and it was VERY COLD! I highly recommend layering with smart wool or non-cotton pieces like this one from Cordova. The investment is worth it and you should be able to use them for years! Also, purchase this balaclava which you can wear under your helmet and over your face mask (which is required on lifts)!
