Happy first day of summer! Currently sitting outside while Luke plays with slime and Harry naps. After 10+ years in corporate America I'm feeling very grateful for my new found flexibility and work/life balance! Weekend plans you ask? Nothing! We may head up to the farm on Sunday but definitely looking forward to keeping things casual. 

I love this week's lust list because it represents my high/low style. You don't have to break the bank everything in your closet! Can you guess which piece is under $30? This dress is another under $100 favorite!

And we're back! I posted a very tired picture of myself on my stories last night and someone responded saying, "Long weekends are not vacations for moms". SO TRUE! I'm wiped today and so happy to get back to our regularly scheduled programming:) I hope everyone had a happy and healthy weekend. We were so happy we cancelled our trip to Florida as it looks like their weather was much worse than ours! 

Frank and I went on a spur of the moment day trip to Rhode Island on Saturday for our anniversary and we had so much fun! Lots of quality time in the car (it was about 2.5 hrs to Watch Hill, another hour to Newport, and then 2.5 hrs home!) but it was a little exciting to be trying something new together sans kids. We needed it! I posted a pic of Frank on instagram this weekend from our wedding day and received so many requests for more pics! Below are three of my favorites:)

UNDER $100 - WHITE OUT

HAPPY FRIDAY!!! Its raining in CT and its nap time which means I'm getting lots of work done! I was due for an under 100 post and loved making this one because there are so many pretty (and well priced) things out there right now. 

• I haven't seen these dress pants in person but I LOVE the look of them! Perfect to pair with a silk top going out or even a t-shirt and a statement earring

• The perfect little black dress for summer for under 100 - I love this one because its great for a trip into the city...flats during the day and pack a heel to change into at night

• Again, not sure of the quality (but this brand surprises me!) but I love this tank...color and the lace detail:)

• This dressy t-shirt is so elegant!

• I recently ordered this robe! Love the weight of it for the spring/summer. Look out for an update on it in my Instagram stories!

Clearly you can see I have vacation on my mind! I purchased this necklace a couple of weeks ago and knew I wanted to incorporate it into one of my lust lists. You can't tell from the pic but its actually oversized and I immediately thought it looked like an Hermes necklace (and certainly something more expensive). I'm not usually a green person but loved these pale tones paired back to blushes and ivory. If I do wear green its always a shade of "army" which is a closet staple!

Seriously I can't believe its Thursday already! Where did this week go?! There are so many great pieces in the shopbop sale right now that I decided to use it for this week's Lust List! I added these to my order last night...needing to update last year's run-around summer sneaker and they were under $100 on sale. Did you know that even if your first purchase only qualifies you for 20% off but you make another one during the sale they will adjust all your purchases to 25% off?  This happened to me during their Black Friday sale and I was so happy with the customer service!

We're going to Florida for Memorial Day weekend and I've been on the hunt for a bathing suit. I just really want something that has decent seat coverage and isn't over $275 (so much harder than you think!). I'm a less is more person and really only want to own two good quality suits. This white one looks perfect so I'm thinking about it. White can be hard to wear if the fabric isn't thick enough. BLACK AND RAFFIA

Its funny, I rarely wear black in the Fall/Winter but I find myself gravitating to it more in the warmer months. Call me crazy! I love black and camel or cream. This lust list started with these under $100 espadrille sneakers. Also I've been dying to go away even for just a weekend and we just booked a trip with the boys to Florida! I can't even tell you how excited I am. This will be our first flight with Harrison and Luke together so that will be interesting but well worth it! Lots of What to Pack posts coming your way! UNDER 100 - GETTING BACK TO THE GYM

Three years and two babies later I'm finally ready to head back into the gym. When I was pregnant with Luke I pictured myself 8 weeks post-partum - jogging around the park pushing a Bob stroller with one hand and an iced tea in the other. A girl can dream!! Well that never happened and now I'm a little embarrassed to admit how long its been since I really exercised. Hence the inspiration for this under $100 roundup. Slight disclaimer today: these sneaks and this pair of wireless headphones are under $150 but I wanted to include them because they were a recent purchase (gifting myself for Mother's Day) and I LOVE them both! Is my gym journey something you would like me to share? SPRING FEVER

SNOW DAY and I'm sitting here imagining myself walking down a warm Charleston street in this pretty dress, straw bag in hand filled with flowers! LOL one can dream! This dress almost made it into this week's lust list but it just didn't fit! A great price point though for this style and quality. I also found this style for under $100 IF you can go without a bra (I wish!). AND these white sneaks are so cute for spring/summer and also under $100. Love the jute sole!

LOVE LUST LIST + GIVEAWAY

Happy almost Valentine's Day! What do you do for the day of love? Now that Luke is in school its added an extra layer to this year's vday planning which I have to admit I'm kind of excited about! I got a great idea from a blogger friend which I will definitely share if I can execute!

I wasn't going to do a Valentine's themed lust list this year and then I saw this dress and was INSPIRED! I'm obsessed with this color pink. I think it works on every skin color and makes a great wedding guest dress. My sister is getting married this year and I'm thinking this may be the one! Loved these earrings from the moment I saw them. I was surprised to see that my favorite online destination for home decor also sold vintage! I also thought these were pretty!

REFRESH, ORGANIZE, AND PLAN

As you know my new year's resolution was to try to be more PRESENT. When I'm with my kids and husband (mostly), but also when I'm with friends, at work, etc. These days its so easy to be distracted by everything and I was finding myself always on my cell phone looking at social media, thinking about where I have to go next, what my plans are for tomorrow, my mind was ALWAYS going. So one of the ways I'm helping myself to be more present and living in the moment is to do these two things:

Take time for myself: Today I had the best day. I prioritized two hours for myself...ME TIME! to do whatever I wanted to do and just enjoy myself. I caught up with a friend over tea at a local coffee shop and went for an infrared sauna (amazing experience by the way). By the time I went to pick Luke up at school I felt so refreshed. After today my goal is to try to set aside two hours a week of uninterrupted time for myself. Its not going to always be possible but I think it absolutely helped me when I was back home with the boys. I was able to focus on them because I had a good chunk of time to do all the things I wanted to do already and wasn't distracted. I was able to stay present!

Plan: At the beginning of every year I buy myself a planner. By the end of the year Its almost always less than half used (if I'm being generous). With the birth of Harrison this past May and Luke now in school things are busier than ever. I know that planning and organizing everyone's schedules would help me tremendously. Maybe even organize some not-so-last-minute date nights? One can dream!

My final gift guide this holiday season! It's crunch time! I'm so confused by Christmas this year...maybe its because it falls on a Monday? I have to say though - retailers have been doing a GREAT job at communicating shipping deadlines and almost all of the larger stores are offering expedited shipping at no extra charge or for free. So lets talk gifts under $100. I just ordered this speaker for the boys playroom and I love it! If you know someone who is in to cycling I found this one which looks cool too. This jewelry case is a great price point at $65, love the color, and is the perfect gift for all the "tweens" in your life. Personally I think the hardest category to shop for! I loved creating this LUST LIST! This sweater was the original inspiration for it and I love the muted weathered tones and the pattern. It reminds me of something you would see in a Swiss chalet - apres ski vibes! If you're looking for a versatile dress love this one and the price is great. For a layered look try a white tailored shirt or wear it as a skirt with this sweater.

Burgundy is hands down one of my favorite colors for Fall. I think one of the reasons I like it so much is the fact that you can't wear it ever season so when I start to see it in September it feels so fresh and new! I recently asked you guys via Instagram which Lust List colors you wanted featured and wine was the most common answer. I thought of pairing it with black or navy but went with gold because it felt so rich. I had to order this sweater as soon as I found it. When I was looking for navy pieces I also found this one which I may have to get as well. Such a great price and I think I would live in it paired with skirts and jeans.  

PS Just bought a pair of these a couple weeks ago and LOVE!! I first bought a gray pair for Frank - he needed a sleek sneaker that looked good with shorts and was comfortable. They're wool but somehow cool in the summer and warm in the winter. GENIUS! Have a look...
